On this Cinco de Mayo, folks from Sci-Port and the STEM Communications Institute were out at various locations in Shreveport promoting their Science in the City event. This event was part of a larger Give 4 Good effort, which raises money for the community. We had a lot of fun playing with their 3D printer (check out that star pencil topper, printed on-site!) and having battles with the romote control battle bots from Sciports robotics program!
We also came bearing gifts in the form of popped sorghum, these tiny kernels taste a lot like popcorn, but are cuter and a lot more fun!
